Premier League Title Odds 2023-24: Will City Slip Up?

What was once a three-horse race for the 2023-24 Premier League Title has now been reduced to two teams with Liverpool pulling an epic Gerardian slip.

So who between Manchester "don't-talk-about-our-FFP-breaches" City or Arsenal will win the 2024 English Premier League?

Premier League Title Odds: Liverpool

Liverpool has made a right bloody mess of it, haven't they? The Reds were in the driver's seat for the title. With losses to Crystal Palace and Everton and scoring no goals in both, Liverpool has effectively kissed their chances goodbye. And sadly end's Jurgen Klopp's reign as it began; trophyless. (Well, sorta, we all forgot they won the league cup this year.)

Klopp's men have been wildly wasteful in front of goals lately with five goals on 9.4 xG. A 4-2 win over Spurs where they scored four on 3.3 xG might mean they're back on track. But it's way too late for a title push.

Premier League Title Odds: Arsenal

The Gunners have the best offense (88 GF), the best defense (28 GA), and the best xG differential per 90 at +1.25. And they've been destroying teams lately. They're 14-1-1 in their last 16 with a stupidly good +43 goal differential. WUT?!

A run that's put them at the top of the table by a single point. BUT, City have a game in hand. Winning out the two remaining gmaes rest of their schedule might not be enough for Arsenal.

And those two games are against Manchester United and Everton. Sure, United have been laughably bad lately at 2-4-4 in thier last 10 (which pleases me endlessly), but Everton are proving to be problems in the league with four wins from their last six. The Toffees took down Liverpool 2-0, if Arsenal drop points against them they could very well lose the title too.

Premier League Title Odds: Manchester City

City has three games left on the schedule, that's at Fulham and Tottenham on the 11th and 14th before ending the seasno at home to West Ham. The trickiest of the fixtures might be at Tottenham.

Pep hasn't done well at Spurs with a 3-0-6 record. I know Spurs are on a four-game skid and badly outscored 13-4 in those four games, but never discount a bad streak on a particular pitch. This has all the potential to be a banana skin game for City.

Losing won't take them out of the title race, but it gives Arsenal an unnecessary lifeline. There's potential for a slipup by City when they face Spurs on May 14. Betting on Arsenal at +225 might not be a bad idea.

Very few teams over the previous 10 years have won the Premier League title with odds below +300 right before the season began. Only Chelsea in 2016-17 and Leicester in 2015-16 did so.

No, that’s not a typo. Leicester City was a long shot to win the Premier League in 2015-16. It seemed impossible that the Foxes, who were in a relegation scrap the previous season, could win a title the next year.

Sir Alex Ferguson had a mission to knock Liverpool off its perch as the winningest club in English football. And he succeeded in dominating the game with Manchester United and pushing them to 29 titles. Neighbors City has a long way to go in matching Sir Alex's return, but they're making a dent.

Blackburn and Leicester are the only sides to win the Premier League and be relegated.

What Is A Premier League Futures Bet?

A futures bet is made in advance of an event. In this case, you’re looking at the odds to win the Premier League. It can be said that all bets are made on future events. Except, in this case, you can bet weeks or even months beforehand.

If you see EPL odds you like, jump on them quickly. The lines will shift as more games are played and injuries occur. To get more value on a winning bet, try to get a club at plus money (+). This isn’t to say you shouldn’t take a team at minus money (-), but you won’t get as big a payout as you would with a winning underdog.
